SPT Microtechnologies USA, Inc. (SPT) is a leading supplier of oxidation, diffusion, LPCVD, and APCVD technologies for Semiconductor, Power, MEMS, III-V, and packaging applications. When Sumitomo acquired the USA-based business, it became part of a global alliance with offices and plants in Japan, Germany, and Taiwan. Multiple, disconnected ERP systems made reporting impossible and hindered production. They required a single Cloud platform to support a growing global business.

Challenges and Objectives:

SPT needed an integrated Finance and Supply Chain solution to streamline business and provide robust reports as a whole and for each region. A secure, centralized solution would increase visibility, provide real-time analytics, and meet strict compliance and regulations in each country.

The U.S. office used Netsuite, and Oracle EBS 11i supported by Rimini Street. Asia, and Europe managed sales and services ops manually on spreadsheets, and Japan outsourced manufacturing support. SPT realized Oracle Cloud was the best application on the market to modernize a global supply chain. After meeting with Infovity, SPT was impressed by their industry expertise and implementation strategy to optimize the application and improve user adoption.
